Traditionally, steel roofing panels have been used mostly for commercial, industrial and farm buildings. Today's technological advances in building materials have made it both practical and economical to use pre-painted steel panels in virtually all color combinations for your residential uses as well.

The Ameri-Cana Panel that we install is adaptable to any environment, and is suitable for roofing applications on any agricultural, residential, light commercial or light industrial building. It's an ideal roofing sheet for long and low rafters--as low as a 3/12 pitch!

How does roof ventilation save you money and prevent ice dams?

The key to solving ice dams is to create a cold roof, with the temperature of the inside roof sheathing near that of the outside air temperature. To create such a condition, large volumes of outside air must enter at Soffit intakes, sweep along ridge rafters, then exit at vents near the ridge. To prevent trapping warm air in the attic, an equal balance must be established between intake and exhaust air volumes. (The proper ventilation will save you money on your energy cost)

A Ridge Vent ventilation system bringings cold air into an attic, therefore the insulation must minimize heat loss at the attic floor. As an added precaution, use waterproofing shingle underlayment. It provides a waterproof-barrier beneath roof shingles, which pooled water from melting ice dams and driven rain cannot penetrate. About our Seamless Gutters

Deschaine Seamless Aluminum Gutters are stronger, look better, and will outlast any other gutter on the market. Most importantly, our gutters are better because they are extruded from a roll of High Quality 0.32 Aluminum Coil. There are no joints or connections, which tend to leak over time due to expansion and contraction. Deschaine Seamless Aluminum Gutters are manufactured at your door with no seams, no joints, and no leaks.

Our gutters are available in a variety of colors, which are very close to most house or trim colors, which means we are guaranteed to have the right gutter to match your home.

Deschaine Seamless Gutters are installed with hidden gutter hangers which are screwed to the fascia 16" on center and a screw between each hanger in most applications. This translates into a solid gutter than will hold up to the weight of ice and snow.

Spacer Systems

Most of David Deschaine Energy Saver windows and doors feature unique spacer systems. Made of highly thermally prohibitive materials, these are placed between the glass panes and further reduce temperature transfer.

Intercept® Spacer System

• Unique U-channel design minimizes conduction for increased efficiency and comfort.
• Durable long-lasting design.
• U-shaped design flexes and contracts, reducing seal failure in the insulating glass unit.

Super Spacer® System

• Solid silicone foam provides superior energy efficiency.
• Does not conduct energy as quickly as metal spacers.
• Silicone foam is flexible and helps reduce stress cracks.

Glass Coating

Many of our windows and doors are available with Low E glass. A transparent metallic oxide coating applied to the glass surface allows short-wave energy to pass through but reflects long-wave infrared energy for greater thermal efficiency.

Gas Fill

The space inside an insulating glass unit-between the glass panes-may be filled with Argon gas, an odorless, non-toxic gas that is six times denser than air. This acts as an added barrier for a higher level of efficiency. Optional Krypton gas may be specified in some glass packages.

Laminated Glass
